The catamarans we have are designed by Mark Pescott, and built in Phuket: the 2 Fireflys and the 3 Summerhavens.
Designed for the tropics makes them stand out of the crowd, nice and cool inside, with many hatches, strong and lightweight constructed , to give them always good boat speed also in the days of little wind. All have dagger-boards and are tiller steered, which provides easy and enjoyable accurate steering. |

The area briefing and the boat briefing, are thorough but we take our time and make it a part of your holiday. We have a special service, when you book, and want a large scale chart of the sailing area and the Andaman Sea Pilot, we will mail this to you, so your sailing in Thailand holiday already starts in your home. It is great fun and worthwhile, we pay the postage, and you the packet. |
The Fireflys are basic catamarans they have no enclosed main cabin area, and are what we call open deck catamarans, sportive boats, which can sail very fast, but just as easy can be tamed down to a relaxed chill out charter speed.
Sailing in Thailand/Phuket with a Firefly invites you to go sea camping, with a few luxuries like a fixed toilet, built in ice boxes, enough space down below to store your luggage and provisions. |
The Summerhavens are quick (fast depends on yourself) and good sailors one of the best bareboat sailing catamarans in Thailand/Phuket
and tip top for a family or a group of friends sailing holiday. Chimera and Cerberus have enclosed cabins, and the Charro has a so called open cabin, a big hard bimini
with open sides, actually super cool in the December to May months. They have a lot more luxery to offer than the Fireflys.
